Mom & Dad are the best

Mom and Dad are the best parents you could ask for.
They’re both troopers and are there for each other.
When you’re around my parents they make you feel like you’re #1.
They both love the Lord and live a serving life to the Lord.
No matter what they face in life, they find the good and
bring the Lord into everything.
If you get a chance to spend time with Mom & Dad,
its like a touch or teaser of how heaven will be.
They have their routines of meeting special people for breakfast, going
to the senior group at church and minister to people there with encouragement,
as well as loving people in the Cancer group, sending special notes of prayer
and encouragement to acquaintances and friends whom the Lord brings to mind.
Mom crochets baby blankets, lap blankets, booties, coasters, and towel sets, just
because she loves to give them away where she feels necessary. She’s had dozens of
containers that cover her walls in one bedroom- filled to the top of yarn- to work with.
Each scan of yarn has a special purpose, a special item to be made with it, all planned out.
Mom also works on family geneology. She has organized pictures from multiple generations into special albums categorizing specific families, people, and friends. She enters data into her family tree program as time permits her; sometimes spending several hours a day for several days at a time. She’s maticulous with all the facts and details. Family is very important to Mom and Dad.
Dad loves to take photos of every place they go and things they do.
When special visitors come to stay, Dad captures special memories
by photo and mom creates little photo albums for the guests
to remember the highlights of their stay. Dad makes sure to email
all the relatives and friends too with the details of the things that highlights
his days, photos, jokes, and misc fun things he loves to find and share.
I love receiving emails from my dad! Even if I’m just part of his mailing list,
I know that he thought about me and probably prayed for me as he sent his
special message my way.
As you can see, I love my Mom and Dad more than anyone could ever know.
I’m a better person, because of their unconditional love and support they freely give.
They’re my best friends that I treasure dearly. I can always count on them to love
me and not hurt me. I can’t wait to talk to them each day and sometimes
even a dozen times within the day. Sometimes, I feel like I’m bugging
them until I hear the excitement they have in their voices, just because I called.
Even if its to say “Hi, I’m checking in” or to share our daily events together detail by detail.
If you ever get a chance to know my mom and dad, you’re life will be
fuller and blessed because of it.
I’m so proud that they’re my parents. I thank the Lord for blessing me
with parents that have not only taught me to know Jesus,
but lived a whole hearted life being an example of knowing Jesus.
Love You Mom & Dad Forever
The middle picture above was taken on their “38th” Anniversary.
In 2007, we’ll be celebrating with them their “40th.”
