Need new Lamps or Ceiling Fans

Kichler Galaxie Light at Farrey.comI’m pretty impressed with Farrey’s online store for lamps. Not only do they have a great selection of lamps to purchase from, but just knowing they’ve been a family business since 1924. A family business that takes pride in providing quality products and service.

Farreys.com has a broad selection of well known brands and styles of lamps including table lamps, floor lamps, task lamps, reading lamps, piano lamps and torchieres from top manufacturers too. You can search their products by five categories: lamp brand, Style, Type, Finish, or Price Range. The lamp search tool is great and helps you find the lamp of your dreams quickly. If you’re conservative like myself, the Price Range search tool comes in handiest.

I highly recommend Farrey’s online store to purchase lamps, bathroom fixtures, kitchen & sink fixtures, and much much more. Give them a try and let me know how your experience was.

Pray for Jeanne & her loved cat Arthur

Arthur ready for ThanksgivingURGENT Prayer Request – updated 10-26-07
Please pray for Jeanne as she faces a difficult turn in Arthur’s health. He’s suffering with congestive heart failure and kidney disease. Please pray alongside Jeanne that Arthur’s kidneys will remain stable and the balance of fluids the vet is looking for will happen so she can bring Arthur home to have more time with him.

Also–Please agree in prayer with our family for the Lord to comfort Jeanne’s grieving heart during all of this.

Thank you! We love you Jeanne. Know the Lord is there and hears yours and all of our prayers and he will intervene.

Please submit a prayer request in the comment line if you feel led to.

Surviving the Firestorm 2007

Hi Everyone. Here’s a picture of Lakeside skies through most of the Firestorm 2007.

As you may have heard in the news, Southern California has been put through the ringer again with a wind storm of simultaneous fires. Starting on Sunday, October 21, 2007 and continuing on now for the 4th day and they’re still not completely controlled yet.

Sure enough the Santa Ana Winds came upon us gusting 30mm-80mm throughout San Diego county. One fire broke out due to a downed power line, then another, and yet another, due to the hot ambers setting off all the dry brush, weeds, branches, everything in its way that fueled the flames. Before you knew it, here in Lakeside we were surrounded by fires in every direction. So the best thing for our family was to stay put. Luckily the fires passed our homes so far. Not so lucky for Rancho Bernardo, Ramona, Poway, Dulzura, Jamul, Malibu & Los Angeles areas too, among many other communities in between.

Update’s on health

Well, September 14th, I ended up being taken into ER and nearly had a serious heart attack. As it was, I was diagnosed with Acute Coronory Syndrome with palpitations and chest pain. It’s the next phase after experiencing Angina, but just before actually having a critical heart attack.

iTunes or no iTunes – there are options

For awhile now I’ve been reading about companies like Amazon, Walmart, and now Starbucks starting up their own online music stores. It sounds to me that companies are realizing they can sell their own music and don’t need to rely on iTunes. It’s great to see companies becoming independent in the music sales and standing on their own feet. Some not only are independent, but also play well with iTunes and have come up with unique partnerships on top of that.
