We got up and did our colonix regemin. We found out yesterday it wasn’t too bad drinking enough water and discovered we even drank more than enough for the day.
Russ – he is so regular I’m jealous. He seemed to be really happy with the amount of bowel he was able to expell. He claims to fill the toilet. He had a bit of gas most the day…reaked badly, but hey its all part of the process
Me – I was slightly crampy in morning, had small movement (drop) in AM and some gas throughout day. I found myself going into bathroom a lot several times during the day with the urge to go, but nothing until around 10pm. Then I had a really nice, smooth, strange colored movement. The most bowel I’ve seen in weeks.

Well, Russ and I decided to try out the Colonix colon cleansing system. A friend of Russ’s was trying it and within 2 weeks he had passed so much out of his colon he was 20 lbs. lighter than when he started. I’m a huge skeptic when it comes to all these quick help remedies that guarantee success, but after hearing it from a friend well we said, “What the hay…why not try it!” So, I’ll keep you informed daily how our a Colonix process is proceeding.

I’m on the fence a bit, regarding advertised anti-aging products that are available today. Do they actually prevent skin from aging/wrinkling or not. Some popular companies like Avon, Merle Norman, Bare Escentuals, Murad, Curel, Olay, etc. etc., really feel that they’ve found something so compelling that works to prevent aging. Well, do you believe there is something to it?

Verse for Today is a great one to remember.
“In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust; I will not be afraid. What can mortal man do to me?â€- Psalm 56:4
This verse has been one of my personal favorite verses since the Lord changed my life in 1986. It carries a deep Truth that can sustain you in any situation. To me, this truth is that God is the only one I should be afraid of, not man or anything for that matter. So if I keep my heart right with the Lord, spiritually walk with Jesus every day of my life, recognizing his hand and guidance in my life every moment, honoring him and living the life he desires me to live according to his word, then there is nothing to be afraid of that Man can dish out at me. Ultimately, the Lord is the one in control of it all. Boy, Satan sure can torment you so subtly through people, but it’s what you do with the knowledge of knowing that it’s not the people you are accountable to ….it’s God/Jesus/Holy Spirit that you are truly accountable to. Remembering that truth…helps us make better choices than our natural instincts just taking over. None of us are perfect, but the Lord expects us to keep practicing doing what is right. It’s when we stop practicing living for the Lord is when the enemy creeps into our lives and has his manipulated way with us.

If you are like me, you may have or had more than one student going through the public school system. You might have even experienced one child doing extremely better than the other academically and/or behaviorally also. Do you ever wonder why the one child is having a harder time learning and behaving than the other. I did, but didn’t realize until now what to really do about it. Or did you just figure– well, Johnny just isn’t that smart or he’s doing the best he can. Well, I know some teachers (not all teachers–there are a handful of good ones out there still) fall into that same trap. If a child isn’t succeeding in their class, instead of discovering why and how to help the child learn, the child seems to become a behavior problem because they feel like a failure. I’ve even discovered some teachers telling students that as long as they do their best they’ll pass them with a D. Of course, so they don’t have to see the student again next year. The child still feels like a failure, even with a D.

Did you know each of us has a unique and different Learning Style? Most educators believe there are 3 main Learning Styles: Auditory, Visual, Kinesthetic. There are a few educators that believe learning styles are even broke down into five areas or more. The more I researched all these styles it made more sense to me why we respond to certain people certain ways.

Another day in the Continued Kaiser Billing Dispute, since early 2007.
Just so you know, I am thankful to have Kaiser and when they help you its great. Take care of Billing better and it’ll be super.
Brief recap of my situation: I made a bulk payment of $298 on December 18, 2007 over the phone on my credit card for miscellaneous lab work for March, April and May of 2007. This amount was the explainable billed amount owed determined after several hours of going over Kaisers bills and my receipts/payments with the Higher Deductible Team Representative August. Kaiser sent three of the lab items covered in that payment to collections and now won’t correct this error.
To read more details see articles:

Here’s what is happening currently:
I just received a second WAIVER denial and being referred to the Department of Managed Health Care if I desire further resolution. Never asked for a WAIVER, just correct the error…really bizarre.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the Mothers out there!
Every year my husband and I make individual plans with both our Mothers. This year like the others, we’ll visit one on Mother’s Day and the other on a day close to it. Trying to alternate the days yearly for fairness. I’m sure most people acknowledge their mother in some way on Mother’s Day, even if its with a handmade card, phone call, or special flower arrangement or gift. Why not make it a special day to remind her that you love her and appreciate her! Its easy for teens and little ones to miss the joy they can bring to their mom on this day. So Dads, Grandparents, Aunts or Uncles, family… I want to thank you for taking the initiative to teach the children in your lives to acknowledge mom in a unique loving way for this special day. It is important, don’t let this opportunity to share love with Moms to pass by.

Have you ever heard of the Phoenix Program? This is an optional education program to the mainstream school system. Mainly for High Schoolers that don’t appreciate the drama that the actual High Schools offer. It’s a hidden secret that school counselors don’t really want you to know about. Parents have to ask about it or find out about it on their own. Which is difficult when there is no way to know such a thing exists.
The Phoenix program really is a great fit for some students that are independent thinkers and stand out amongst others (in positive & negative ways) or sometimes just gets on the nerves of teachers.
