My Uncle Al grows orchids as a hobby. Aren’t they beautiful. The one in the picture to the left are Cymbidium Orchids the name of this one is Brandy Wine.
Within his own backyard, he has a detailed routine and proven method for cultivating the most beautiful orchids around. His system is setup to always have some in bloom and ready to enjoy or share with others. What a wonderful talent!

It seems like sometime in your life you may need to Send sympathy flowers to some friends or loved ones for some odd reason. For example, recently my Brother-in-law’s Aunt passed away and a few months earlier my Cousin from my Father’s side of the family passed away, a few months before that my husband’s friend Don was hit by a car and put in the hospital for awhile. Those are all good reasons to want to send some kind of flowers or food to someone. Flowershop.com has some great selections for not only sympathy flowers, but all occassion flowers too. Check them out and see if they have what you’re looking for.
I’ve been accumulating a few flower company links. If you click on the flowers link in my right-hand column, it’ll show you a few that I really like using. I’ve only had good experiences with them all. Flowers.com has been a successful family-owned business for over 35 years. They have some unique gift baskets and food baskets too.

I found this website for Flowers called Beyond Blossoms.
What’s unique about this website that I really liked is that you not only buy flowers through them, but it gives you plenty of information about flowers in general. To me, information makes it easier to purchase exactly what you want.
On their main page they have a section of links located in a column on the left-hand side. Here’s a few that sparked my interest: flower blog, meanings of flowers and the history of them, even flower’s biology. The flower blog offers interesting information from arts and crafts you can do with flowers, information about rare flowers, articles about the purpose of giving flowers to people, cooking with flowers, gardening ideas, flower shows, etc. Very interesting and exciting articles to read. I got a kick out of reading the article on “How to make a monogram out of flowers.” The article gives step-by-step instructions on how to make this awesome creation. I could see myself making a Big Letter “D” for my Dad on Father’s Day!
The history and meanings of flowers page was particularly captivating. I love carnations because they last longer than store bought roses. I truly love Roses, especially home grown ones out of the garden, they last about the same as carnations. Comes to findout my carnations mean fascination and devoted love.
If you get a chance and want to learn something special about flowers before you purchase some for someone you care about, go to www.beyondblossoms.com, checkout their blog, and read their unique articles regarding flowers. You’ll definitely have more insight about flowers by the time you leave their website.

Why is it that men usually only send us women flowers to makeup for something that went wrong or if they’re expecting something in return?
I just wish I could experience the joy of someone sending me flowers just because they were actually thinking about me or wanted to send me a little Love because they wanted to.
My father used to get a carnation every once in awhile and have my sons bring it to me. I appreciate my dad for being one of those great guys and showing my sons by example. I’m hoping my sons learn from that example.
If you have a man that will send flowers to you just because he’s thinking about you, you’re a lucky woman! Enjoy it and LOVE that Man!

I’m really impressed by the arrangements and reasonable pricing that DotFlowers offer.
When my husband’s grandmother passed, I was curious how much funeral flowers
actually cost and what the difference between the arrangements were. To my findings, there are big differences. I heard people tell me you spare no expense for your loved ones, but our grandparents would say to just get one nice arrangement and save your money. What a selection of arrangements to choose from, hard to just choose one.
