Many people probably already do this, but I’d like to share something that has been most valuable to me. During rough times is when it seems to help the most.

Write a Note or Journal to Jesus.

It’s writing a letter to Jesus, writing a prayer, venting, and even just writing thank you notes and praise notes to the Lord. Writing about things he has shown me through out the day or how he’s handled a situation in a way that I would’ve never imagined possible. It’s been extremely useful to do this. Not only to get things off your chest to go forward in situation, but also as something to build a bond of friendship and reverence between you and the Lord.

I find at times I will read back my past journals or notes and now I can see the big picture more clearer. I see how the Lord dealt with me in situations. Some situations have been completely taken care of and yet others are still left in his hands to continue healing, fixing, or he’s still working with me on them. Most of all it reminds me of how wonderful Jesus is. I’m awestruck to realize that He listened and heard my heart, my feelings and treasured me so much to provide all needs (insignificant as they seem). He consistently offers soooo much grace, mercy, and healing that is undeserved. He’s truly my best friend. You can’t help but realize the truth of what Jesus’ gift of salvation is when you experience Him in life. Most Things that He’s done, I may have missed and just lived through them. Noting or Journaling has captured, in writing, Jesus’ direct effect on my life. What a treasure.

Only one thing I seem to long for after noting or journaling to Jesus. What could that possibly be…you might ask? I find myself wishing to be able to give my note to him in person, or talk to him having a face to look at, a hand to hold, a hug to feel, or even an email address to send it to Him.

I suppose that’s why we reach out to people. Give people encouraging notes. Do things to help others that is unexpected. Spend time with people. Befriend People. That is a way to experience a bit of Jesus. It’s not quite the same thing completely, but it’s close. Do you know what I’m saying?
