I have always had the desire to Travel Alaska ever since I was a little girl. I’ve intently listened to people I’ve met through out the years that have vacationed there. The stories are so exciting to listen to. The wild country in its fullest beauty, animals, birds, and glaciers all create such an intensive get-away-from-it-all feeling.
The Denali National Park is a must see during your Alaska Travel. The Park is located about 240 miles north of Anchorage and 120 mile south of Fairbanks on the George Parks Highway.
In Denali Park, there are many glaciers visible to the eye and close to the roads. There are around 175 species of birds and 40 species of animals– to name a few seen are Grizzly bear, moose, wolves, Dall sheep and caribou. All of which are commonly seen in the park during bus tours that take you deep into the park. I hope to some day have the opportunity to visit Alaska and explore the intense beauty hidden there.
Checkout Alaska Denali Tours if you’re planning an Alaska trip. They offer some great online discounts for lodging, tours, and other unique packages to the areas you may be interested in.

Okay, its that time of year when all of us are ready to travel or take a little vacation. My family flies by the seat of our pants. If we have the money and can get quick reservations somewhere, we are out of here!
I’m always up to finding the best deals around when planning a vacation. So there are a few Online Travel Agencies that I always check out to see what kind of deal I can get. I’ve used most of them and can guarantee an easy reservation process and once you arrive they treat you like Royalty. Some Florida vacation rentals, Florida Keys vacation rentals, and Orlando vacation rentals are HOT right now, hotels, resorts or luxury condo rentals anywhere are always a good choice. You’ll know what to expect when you get there–VIP treatment. The staff I’ve dealt with has always been extremely accommodating and very friendly.
Here’s a few of my favorite websites:
Hotwire
Priceline
going2travel
Expedia

Well, it’s that time of the year again for the SXSW interactive, music & film conference and festival. March 7-16, 2008, in Austin Texas. Russ and sometimes myself usually try to attend at the least the Interactive panels. Russ really enjoys participating in the sessions and having the opportunity to personally speak with Panel participants and picking their brains on ideas, thoughts, opportunities, etc. They provide a full-brain overload of information that’s for sure. Russ is like a sponge and absorbs it all. What a gift he has.
It’s crucial to register early on to avoid the last minute rush, especially when coming in from out-of-state. Hotels book up fast. The best hotel rates are usually the ones offered from the Coordinators of the Conference, so plan early to come its worth the effort.

JabberJuls Rating: “Big High Five”
I’ve been meaning to give a review of the new “Lakeside Cafe” for some time now. Well, today’s the day. The Lakeside Cafe has taken on the old “Annie Oakly” restaurant. The owners gutted the old restaurant out and completely revamped it. They added huge windows on the Eastern and Southern sides of the building, which really opened up the place and gave it a lot more light in place. Brand new kitchen, bathrooms, tables, booths, beautiful paintings and decor. It’s a wonderful upgrade.

I love making my reservations online for hotels, air flights, movie tickets, etc. It’s not only easy and simple, but basically hassle-free when you arrive at your destinations. Everything is paid for and confirmed ahead of time. Just finding the right websites that can provide good customer service, lots of options and choices, to make your dream trips come true.
Here’s another one of my recommended online resource to do this, it’s called,”HotelReservations.com.” One unique thing about this site is its user-friendly ability. You can select several language dialects to have the site translated in…like English, German, Italian, Spanish, French, etc. This is definitely a feature that isn’t always available. Excellent resource to the World Traveler.

As you know, Russ and I travel at moment’s notice. All of a sudden we decide to go visit family, friends, go camping, or just go on a vacation. We pack up the kids and dog and off we go. If you do this too, you probably experience the frustration of searching the internet for any super duper deal to make the last minute decision work. It’s not easy to find a trust worthy website to be true to their promotions. So when you do find a website that is trustworthy, easy to navigate and research specific dates, make reservations, and also have great customer service…it’s a Gold Nugget find so to speak.
Well, I’d like to share with you a few travel websites that I use and they provide all these things. Expedia.com, CheapTickets.com, Orbitz.com, PriorityClub.com, and even SouthWest Airlines Rapid Rewards now offers not only airline points but discounts on hotels and other travel needs.
If you travel to Australia, one website I’ve been referred to by some friends is called, “lastminute.com.au” They specialize in traveling last minute anywhere in Australia. They offer inexpensive (cheap) flights, hotels, accomodations, and other exclusive travel deals too. I personally haven’t tried it out yet, but have heard great things about them. They are licensed by the International Air Transport Association (IATA) too. Go for it and give it a try!
If you use any other online travel agency and they offer great deals at moments notice, respond to this post and share your info.

Do you like to travel? Better yet, do you like to get the best deal for your money or Discount Vacation Packages when travelling? I do. I’ve found one way to get a super deal, but it might not be for everyone.
I’ve recently come across Fairfield Gateways which offers some great vacation packages, if you don’t mind sitting through their 1 to 2 hour sales presentation on the benefits of acquiring ownership in a Fairfield timeshare resort. For a few minutes of your time, you can enjoy an extremely inexpensive vacation that can include weekend getaway offers and special travel packages that not only include your hotel accommodations but extra tickets or goodies for tourist sites near your locations (ie. cash valued dinner certificates, roundtrip railroad tickets, popular area shows, depending on your destination).
Try it out and see if they have a location that you may want to travel.

Did you know there was an earthquake rated 6.0 near the cost of Florida a couple days ago? I bet you thought that only happened in California. Well, they didn’t feel the earthquake at the Orlando Vacation Home Rental. The people there were just having a great time enjoying their leasure time either on the golf courses, lakes, or just kicking back doing nothing.
I’ve found around the end of October or in November is an excellent time to go visit the East coast. Perfect clean crisp weather to enjoy. Not too hot, not extremely cold. If you’re interested in visiting Orlando anytime this next year, be sure to visit Moremouse.com to see if they may have a vacation rental that fits your needs.

Darlene Luckins has an innate sense for capturing the deserts natural beauty and purity with photos. It’s a rare discovery to have found her website, you have to visit it to view these photos. Look beyond the first look and find those photos; you’ll only develop a deep awestruck love for nature’s true beauty. She sells her photography and reproduces them to any size you desire. She also has some unique original paintings and drawings, maybe they’ll meet your taste. Checkout her websites at the links I placed above, its definitely worth the look.

My husband, Russ, helped me organize a few of my photos for all to view, in a flash based photo gallery that is pretty awesome. You can find it by clicking on Gallery on my side bar. I plan to add to the gallery monthly, as time permits.
For my nieces and nephews, I promised to put their motorcyclin’ pictures out there too. So keep checking back and see the latest and greatest photoshot I’ve captured. Just might see a picture of YOU!
