SD Padres…it’s okay to say “NO” to the Gay Pride Community!
I still can’t get over the fact the Padres have chosen to allow the Gay Pride Community to flaunt themselves, boldly and subtly, during a Padre Game that is encouraging Children to be there for the Floppy Hat day.
Here’s my email I sent to the Padres. What good it’ll do in hopes they’ll change the agenda, don’t know. Maybe if enough people say something.
I’m disappointed to know that the San Diego Padres are allowing the Gay Community to have its way at the Ballpark, especially on a day where you are encouraging Children to be there for Floppy Hats. It’s disturbing to have such a flamboyant Group that is known to have Sexual Predators and Molesters amongst their communities, which were revealed at the 2005 gay pride parades, boldly present themselves among our community’s families in such a way. I realize you don’t want to be discriminative, but there must be some kind of Moral obligation to our children that you uphold.
Since you’re allowing the Gay Pride Group & Choir to boldly broadcast that they’re here, just by allowing them to sing and announce their presence, you might as well announce, “Little Children (teen or younger) Beware and Parents don’t let your children go to the restrooms, kids areas, concessions stands alone or really enjoy the Padre Experience because we have a Huge Group of Sexual Predators amongst us today…more than you’ll ever see any other day” “Their Rights are more valued than your innocence, because they bought higher priced tickets.”
It’s one thing to silently understand people from these groups already go to the games and most of them may be harmless and keep to themselves. But Now, the group boldly announces the Pride Community is here in your presence and we get to ooogle your children too and there is nothing anyone can do about it…even in this subtle way, I feel the Padres need to Put its foot down and tell the Pride Community…”For the Good of the Whole SD Community, we need to ask for you to either select another game date you plan to attend or we’ll have to decline this service/benefit at this time.”
Come on…I know you’re treating this like business as usual, but what are you really saying to Families. You’re saying that this Group can have its way even though they’re known for being prominent with Sexual Predators and oh well to the families and good luck to you.
I personally don’t desire to have my children exposed to this Group’s boldness of pushing their lifestyle choices as if it okay. Just the mention of their name brings legitimate safety concerns to mind for any child that may attend that day. I can only pray you have stepped up security and plan to enforce the law if anything happens to a child during their stay. This Group is known to push themselves on anyone and everyone and now their preying on our children too.
Just curious, Would you allow Al Queda Groups to have the same benefits for purchasing a large Quantity of tickets? How about White Power Extremists? They’re next if you don’t make a plan now.
When will you say “NO” for the betterment of the Whole Community and America. This is Baseball, America’s national treasure and pastime. Don’t allow special interest groups destroy that. Keep it clean and hassle free for everyone…Please. ~ Julie Wittmann
